Turning Gujarat's I.T dream into reality
The Official
Opening
UK based Multi-Installations
Group, manufacturers of High Security Doors and Access Control
systems; providing services to Local Authorities and National
Utilities, have set up an IT enabled unit; having seen the
need to provide UK and USA based companies with Call Centre
facilities and Back Office Solutions.
Multi-Installations used their
expertise and enriched reputation within the UK, to lead this
project and ventured where no UK company has been before.
In January 2002, a feasibility
study of Gandhinagar, Gujarat was carried out by i-serve's
Commercial Director, Mr. Manu Varsani. The next step was
making the paramount decision in choosing Gandhinagar as its
founding establishment.
The decision was further
encouraged by the fact that the entire i-serve team is
Gujarati, rooted in Bhuj, Kutch and they feel proud to be
embedding the seed of success in their Motherland.
While the team was engaged in
designing and planning in the UK, the Managing Director of i-serve,
Mr. Naran Pindoria attended the Bhumi Pujan in Gandhinagar
prior to the work starting on site.
Work began at the end of June
2002, with the infrastructure planning put into active force.
This progression was assessed and greatly contributed to by
numerous trips being made from the UK to Gandhinagar by Mr.
Naran Pindoria and Mr. Manu Varsani.
Now, on the 21st September
2002, i-serve cordially invites you to join them in unveiling
their dynamic endeavor: the i-serve Call Centre at Infocity,
Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Through sheer hard work and
commitment of the i-serve team, the entire infrastructure from
the blue prints to a vastly equipped Call Centre was completed
in just 3 months. This in itself shows i-serve's determination
and aptitude in bringing this technological advancement to
life in what was regarded in the I.T industry as
'unattainable'. This has now been made possible through the
vision and fortitude of i-serve.
The i-serve management team
believes in a direct approach with their clients, with most of
its clientele based in London. Their unique approach and
management style is ideal for running this venture.
The i-serve Call Centre is
designed to carry out multiple tasks such as marketing,
sales of products, and information dispensing. They will
be providing a highly empowered service framework that
relies heavily on communication and information
technologies and have the facility and dedicated servers
for inbound and outbound services.
i-serve's business process
operations provide web based customers with e-mail and
online conferencing, back office operations including
Accounts, Taxation and VAT, Insurance and Payroll
Processing.
i-serve's aim is to provide
the highest quality service, with the use of advanced
skills and innovative technology; to present a 'one-stop
shop' service for expanding companies. i-serve believes
each client has their own set of requirements and as such,
they are able to adapt and provide a tailor made service
package.
i-serve's aspiration to
invest in people and technology will create an initial 200
recruitment posts with expansion in the very near future
to recruit up to 400 highly skilled I.T graduates from
within the Gujarat State.
i-serve believes
comprehensive training is critical to achieve customer
satisfaction, increase investment returns and
productivity. The team undergoes rigorous training at
their on site state-of-the-art training centre on the
tools, technologies and methodologies. Trainers from the
UK will assess the quality of agents and their performance
on a regular basis.
The multi-million pound
company, Multi-Installations Ltd has already invested £1.1
million into the i-serve project and their capital
venturist from London, is planning a further £1.5 million
in the expansion of the Group's activities.
i-serve highly value the
support of the Government of Gujarat and Creative Infocity.
In addition, their suppliers who have managed to work on a
very tight and highly demanding schedule, under i-serve's
UK management team.
The future holds many
promising opportunities for the Call Centre industry, for
Infocity and especially for i-serve. Their aim is to turn
Gujarat into the next destination for Call Centres
…following in their footsteps.
